Herbert Haslinger

Herbert Haslinger (born February 3, 1961 in Renholding / Lower Bavaria) is a German theologian and has been a professor of pastoral theology , homiletics , religious education and catechetics at the Paderborn Theological Faculty since 2002 .

Life

Herbert Haslinger put 1981 on Humanist school Leopoldinum in Passau the High School from. He then studied Catholic theology at the universities of Passau (1981–1983 / 1986–1988) and Innsbruck (1983–1984). He graduated from the University of Passau with a diploma in 1988 . From November 1984 to July 1986 Haslinger did community service in the workshop for the disabled of the Caritas Association for the Diocese of Passau. After working as a pastor in the Episcopal Study Seminar St. Altmann in Burghausen / Upper Bavaria (1988/89), he worked from 1989 to 1994 as a research assistant at the Chair for Pastoral Theology of the Department of Catholic Theology at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz , during which time he graduated from a doctoral degree in the same department . This was followed from 1994 to 2002 as a consultant for Diakonie and honorary office at the Institute for Further Education of the Church Services in the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart . In 1995 Haslinger received his doctorate in Catholic theology at the University of Mainz with a dissertation on the subject of “Diakonie between man, church and society. A practical-theological investigation of diaconal practice under the criterion of being a subject ”. 1997 took place again at the department of Catholic theology of Mainz Johannes Gutenberg University the habilitation for the subject pastoral theology .

Haslinger has been a professor at the Paderborn Theological Faculty since April 2002. From 2002 to 2008 he was also in charge of the postgraduate course in Caritas Science. His main areas of work are: basic questions or scientific theory of pastoral theology, diakonia, congregation, sacraments pastoral care, education, Second Vatican Council, “people's theology / pastoral care”.

  • 1981: Dr. Otto Thaler Prize of the Leopoldinum Gymnasium in Passau for performance in the high school subjects Latin and Greek
