Norbert Christian Wolf

Norbert Christian Wolf (* 1970 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian German scholar .

Life

From 1989 to 1994 he studied German, history and general and comparative literature in Vienna (1994 Magister phil.), Paris and Berlin . From 1994 to 1995 he was a research assistant in the research project 5512 of the Austrian Fund for the Promotion of Scientific Research (FWF) at the University of Vienna . From 1995 to 1998 he was awarded a doctoral scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . In 1998/1999 he was a research assistant (substitute) at the Free University of Berlin . After completing his doctorate in 1999 (FU Berlin), he was a research assistant at the Institute for German and Dutch Philology at FU Berlin from 1999 to 2004. In 2004 he received an APART scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna (Austrian Program for Advanced Research and Technology). From 2004 to 2009 he taught as a junior professor at the Institute for German and Dutch Philology at the Free University of Berlin. From 2007 to 2010 he was a member and sub-project manager in the Berlin Collaborative Research Center 626 Aesthetic Experience in the Sign of the Dissolution of Boundaries in the Arts and head of sub-project C 10 (International Crossing Boundaries Between High and Low Art. On the Sociology of Aesthetic Experience). In 2008 he was offered a professorship at the University of Salzburg . After completing his habilitation in 2009 (FU Berlin), he has been a full professor at the University of Salzburg since March 2009 .
