Norbert Harlinghausen

Norbert Harlinghausen (born December 29, 1922 in Kamen , Germany ) was a German television journalist (politics editor) and television presenter.

Harlinghausen went to school in Kamen and after completing his military service and high school diploma (1946) studied journalism, history and constitutional law. He then took up the profession of journalist and worked in this position as a freelance reporter in the then Federal German capital Bonn from 1954, the year in which he married. After switching to television, ZDF sent him to Rome in 1966 as studio manager. In 1974 Harlinghausen became editor of the international journal and also took over the moderation there. On August 1, 1975, the ZDF appointed him the new studio manager in New York.

During his years at ZDF, Norbert Harlinghausen also produced individual reports, including portraits of politicians and travelogues ("Zwei Tage in ..."). Other Harlinghausen TV pieces were called "Avanti, Azzurri", "Europe's problem children" and "Hunger under the Christmas tree" . For another ZDF format, Der Sport-Spiegel , Harlinghausen accompanied and filmed the star footballer Diego Maradona at SSC Napoli in 1987 . In the same year, Norbert Harlinghausen reached retirement age, and nothing has been heard from him since.
