Sascha Adamek (born January 18, 1968 in Winterberg ) is a German investigative journalist , author and filmmaker .

Life

Since 1990 Adamek has worked as a freelance writer a. a. works for the Berliner Zeitung , Wochenpost , TAZ and WDR .

During his studies in journalism at the University of Dortmund (graduation 1995) Adamek worked as a trainee for the Berliner Zeitung in the reportage department. He reported on the crash of an El-Al freight machine in Amsterdam in 1992 and the arson attacks in Solingen and Mölln . In 1995 he wrote a series of reports about the last French nuclear test in Mururoa .

In 1994 he began to work for the critical television magazine "Klartext" at Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg ORB . This was followed by publications and a. on bad investments amounting to millions at Lausitzring , on attempted subsidy fraud at the planned chip factory in Frankfurt an der Oder and various cases of corruption in the state of Brandenburg . In 1999 Adamek reported for the ORB and ARTE on NATO's warfare in Serbia and later on the use of uranium ammunition .

From 1999 he worked as a filmmaker and produced 23 documentaries and reports on political, economic and social topics. For the ARD magazine Monitor , Adamek reported on various scandals, such as refugees chased by dogs on the German border. In 2001, Adamek uncovered a straw man donation for the  SPD , whereupon the Lord Mayor of Wuppertal Hans Kremendahl was investigated. In 2003 Adamek uncovered the activities of a lawyer who was also working for initiatives against wind power and the Hydro Aluminum group. In 2004 Adamek worked as head of the service for the RBB magazine Klartext.

In 2005, Adamek reported on the pharmaceutical lobbyist Adel Massaad , who tried to stir up panic over avian flu , from which the drug Tamiflu from pharmaceutical manufacturer Roche profited. In 2006, Adamek described for the first time how the Herlitz concern replaced workers with temporary workers. In 2008 he published the bestseller “The Bought State” together with Kim Otto and revealed that hundreds of corporations and banks paid lobbyists in federal ministries are writing laws (see: External employees in German federal ministries) . From 2008 he published regularly as a book author.

In 2009, Adamek and Kim Otto described how tax officials in Hessen were declared insane after targeting big banks and politicians . In 2011 Adamek published the world's first critical book on the methods of the Facebook group "The Facebook Trap". Adamek has been working on Islamism and finance since 2014 . Since October 2014 he has been working as an author in the multimedia reporter pool of the rbb / Redaktion Investigatives und Background. He has made numerous contributions to television, radio and online media and is a guest author for the Axis of the Good .

In 2017, in his book “Sharia Capitalism”, he revealed funding paths from Islamic extremists and terrorists from the Middle East to Germany, Europe and the USA. He lives in Berlin .
