Norbert Runge (born July 8, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
As a young striker, Norbert Runge played for 1. FC Paderborn in the amateur league of Westphalia from 1975 to 1977 and achieved fourth place with the club in 1977. Runge was then obliged by the second division promoted 1. FC Bocholt , where he played his first professional games in the 1977/78 season and became the best player with 14 goals this season. In the summer of 1978 he moved to the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund . Norbert Runge made his debut in the first division on the 9th match day of the 1978/79 season against 1. FC Kaiserslautern , but in the end he only made nine appearances and three goals in his first season. In the following season he also had to be satisfied with the role of substitute player in ten missions and two goals, and so the striker moved to the second Bundesliga in 1980 at Alemannia Aachen . From 1980 to 1982 Runge played at the Tivoli in Aachen and impressed here especially in his first season with 14 goals in 31 games. In 1982 the attacker was committed by the amateur league club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , with whom he celebrated the championship and promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in the Oberliga Nordrhein 1982/83 .
Norbert Runge played a total of 19 Bundesliga games (5 goals) and 102 second division games (33 goals).
In 1987, the former professional was hired as a player- coach by Bayern league club FC Kronach 08 , which was threatened with relegation , and Runge managed to stay up with the club. After another season in Kronach and his dismissal in the spring of 1989, he subsequently took over as a coach at SV Lippstadt 08 and TuRa Bergkamen . Most recently, Norbert Runge worked as a trainer for the Westphalian regional division club Werner SC until 2008 .
