North German gymnastics championships
The North German Gymnastics Championships were held from 1934 to 1941.
history
They were held as the Gau device championships of Gaues 7 - Nordmark - of the German Gymnastics Association. The Gau Nordmark included Hamburg, Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
The best gymnasts qualified for the German championships. In 1941 z. B. sent the four best-placed gymnasts to the German championships.
Due to the war, the championships could no longer be held from 1942 onwards.

After the Second World War and with the emergence of the federal states, regional championships were held in the form of state championships (e.g. Hamburg or Schleswig-Holstein).
