The North Frost GmbH & Co. KG is a German logistics company headquartered in Schortens / Lower Saxony . The main area of activity of the company is deep-freeze logistics with transport, handling, storage, import / export, distribution and meat processing.

Nordfrost, according to its own information, the "world's sixth largest retailer for frozen food"; employs around 3,000 people and operates 40 deep-freeze warehouses with a storage capacity of 3,500,000 m³ in Europe, most of them in Germany. The annual turnover is around 400 million euros. Customers include food retailers (e.g. discounters ), the food industry, food producers, the meat industry and international trade.
At the beginning of February 2020, the company founder and chairman of the management, Horst Bartels, died at the age of 75.
JadeWeserPort seaport terminal
In November 2011, Nordfrost started as the first company to build a 20 hectare fresh fruit and frozen food terminal in the 160 hectare logistics zone of the new JadeWeserPort in Wilhelmshaven . The building went into use in August 2012. An expansion was added in 2017.
Sponsorship
Nordfrost is one of the main sponsors of the Wilhelmshaven AGM in Wilhelmshaven. The former North Sea sports hall with 2433 seats was renamed the Nordfrost Arena for this reason . The Wilhelmshaven HV is currently playing in the 2nd Bundesliga.
