Noris-Spiele (Georg Reulein GmbH & Co. KG) is a German games publisher from Fürth .

history

In 1907 , Noris-Spiele was founded by Georg Reulein in Nuremberg . The name goes back to the nymph Noris , the allegorical name of the city of Nuremberg. In the beginning, mail and stamp games, children's printing presses and doll cases were sold, which were initially made by Gustav Tietze in Leipzig. From 1911 onwards, there was also production in Nuremberg. From 1935 on, production was relocated to Fürth and over 200 games were sold.

During the Second World War, the Nuremberg headquarters were completely destroyed. After the reconstruction, production started again from 1946, in 1954 a new factory was built in Fürth and Noris-Spiele again had a wide range, which u. a. Dice, dice cups, chess games, game collections, educational games and magic boxes.

In the 1960s and 1970s, the publisher brought out games for many popular television series. In the 1980s and 1990s, most of the games produced were developed and graphically prepared by Michael and Johann Rüttinger .

In 2001 the company was acquired by the Simba Dickie Group . The Goldsieber brand, which has existed since 1995, was incorporated into Noris-Spiele; games for an older audience are published under the Goldsieber brand and games for the younger ones under the Noris brand. Since 2008 Schipper, which produces “painting by numbers”, has been part of Noris-Spiele. Zoch Verlag has also been operating under the umbrella of the Noris Games since 2015 .
