The North Doodle Lake is a triangular, 1.8 hectares large and permanent zugefrorener Lake in East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Framnes Mountains , it is 400 m north of Rumdoodle Lake and 800 m north-northwest of Rumdoodle Peak in the North Masson Range .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it based on the naming of the neighboring geographical objects and the relative geographical location to them. It is named after the novel The Ascent of the Rum Doodle by the British writer William Ernest Bowman from 1956, which is one of the most widely read works on Mawson Station .
