Finally the river reaches the James Bay depression and flows on the right side 15 km south of Moosonee into the lower reaches of the Moose River. A major tributary of the North French River is the Wekweyaukastik River . The North French River has a length of about 250 km. Its catchment area covers 6680 km². The mean discharge is 92 m³ / s.
