Norwegian Antarctic Expedition
The Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (NorAE) is officially entitled to the following research trips to the Antarctic:
- Amundsen's Fram Expedition (1910–1912), first Norwegian expedition to the Antarctic
- Brategg Expedition (1947–1948), second Norwegian Antarctic expedition
- Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956-1960)
- Fourth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1968–1969)
- Fifth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1970–1971)
- Sixth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1974–1975)
- Seventh Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1984–1985)
- Eighth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1986–1987)
- Ninth Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1989–1990)
Unofficially, the following activities are also included:
- Carl Anton Larsen's Antarctic voyage with the Jason (1892-1894)
- Antarctica trip Henryk Bulls with the Antarctic (1894-1895)
- Antarctic voyages financed by Lars Christensen on the Odd I (1926–1927), the Norvegia (1927–1928, 1928–1929, 1929–1930 and 1930–1931), the Thorshavn (1931–1932, 1932–1933, 1933–1934, 1934–1935 and 1936–1937 ) and the H. J. Bull (1935–1936)
- Norwegian whaling expedition (1930–1931) under the direction of Otto Borchgrevink
- Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952)
- Norwegian South Pole Expedition (2000–2001), Rolf Bae and Eirik Sønneland , 3800 km walk from Troll Station ( Queen Maud Land ) to McMurdo Station ( Ross Island ) including the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station
