The Norwegian Antarctic Expedition 1984–1985 (NorAE 1984–1985) was a research trip to the Antarctic funded by the Norwegian Polar Institute . The company with the research ship Andenes , headed by climatologist and glaciologist Olav Orheim (* 1942), primarily served to build the gate station at the foot of Mount Svarthamaren in the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains of the Queen Maud Land .
