Norwegian Enigma
The Norwegian Enigma are Enigma machines newly wired by Norway .

In 1945, immediately after the end of the Second World War , the Norwegian intelligence service , then called Overvåkingspolitiet ("surveillance police ") , used some Enigma rotor key machines captured by the German Wehrmacht for their own encryption purposes . The Norwegians rewired the rotating rollers (I to V) and also the reversing roller (VHF) . The wiring of the entry roller (ETW), however, as well as the transfer notches of the rollers were left unchanged. To distinguish them from the regularly wired Enigma machines , these Enigma models modified in this way are referred to as "Norenigma" (and also as Norway Enigma ).
