Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe is a former municipality in Portugal .
The church is best known for the Cromlech of Almendres .
history
Finds prove a prehistoric settlement, in particular Almendres and Portela de Mogos . Today's place was probably built much later, during the Christian Reconquista , as the remains of the medieval castle Castelo de Geraldo show. The construction of the parish church, built in 1608, shows a late development of the place.
The independent municipality of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe was created on October 4, 1985, by outsourcing from the municipality of Nossa Senhora da Graça do Divor .
With the territorial reform of 2013 , the community was dissolved again and merged with Nossa Senhora da Tourega to form a new community.
