Dorothy lives in Kansas with her aunt and uncle on a farm. After an argument, Dorothy decides to leave home. On her journey through the emerald forest, she meets a scarecrow, a tin figure and a lion. Together they try to defend themselves against the sexual assault of a green witch. At the end of her journey of discovery, Dorothy wakes up in her bed in Kansas. When she tries to tell her aunt and uncle about her adventures in 'Oz', they don't believe her and say it was just a dream.
