Nothing Above My Shoulders but the Evening ( German about nothing except the evening on my shoulders ) is the fifth and final studio album by the American composer Ray Lynch . It was released on September 28, 1993 and distributed by Windham Hill Records . He returned to his roots in classical music and took on members of the San Francisco Symphony, among others.
On December 11, 1993, like the previous album No Blue Thing , it reached number 1 on the Billboard charts for the best new age album.
