Panagiotis Toufexis

Panagiotis Toufexis Παναγιώτης Τουφεξής, also with the shortened first name Notis Νότης (* 1969 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek neo-Greekist and linguist .

After studying classical philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki , the Toufexis 1993 with a diploma graduated, and a doctoral program at Hans Eideneier at the University of Hamburg he was there in 2003 with a dissertation on an alphabetical word list of the humanist Martin Crusius to medium Greek vernacular doctorate . From 1995 to 2004 Toufexis was involved as a research assistant in the research projects on the Neograeca in Germania , on the computer-aided edition of late and post-Byzantine texts and on the forms of written expression in Byzantine and modern diglossia .

From December 2004 to 2009 he worked as a research associate at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge University under the direction of David Holton and Geoffrey Horrocks on the project "Grammar of Medieval Greek".

Since 2011 he has been working as a teacher at the Brecht School in Hamburg, among other things as a subject teacher in Latin and religion and as a computer science teacher. He is also the webmaster of the school website and the official Moodle administrator.
