Notker Schweikhardt (born December 5, 1960 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician Alliance 90 / The Greens and has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2014 .

biography

After graduating from high school, Notker Schweikhardt first studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt up to the preliminary diploma, went to the University of Wisconsin as a Fulbright scholar and then to the Vienna University of Applied Arts to study stage and film design . He then worked in the field of film and theater as a set designer, costume designer and art director.

politics

Schweikhardt joined the party Die Grünen in 1988 and is particularly involved in cultural issues. From 2012 to 2014 he was a speaker for the parliamentary group of his party in the German Bundestag. As a replacement for Martin Beck , he had held a mandate in the Berlin House of Representatives since September 1, 2014. In the 2016 parliamentary elections , he ran as a direct candidate in constituency 1 - Schöneberg North of Tempelhof-Schöneberg . He won the direct mandate and entered parliament again.
