Nou ( German  Neudorf (near Hermannstadt) , Hungarian Szászújfalu or Újfalu ) is a village near Hermannstadt in the Sibiu district in Transylvania ( Romania ). Administratively, Neudorf belongs to the municipality of Roșia ( Rothberg ).

history

Neudorf was founded by Saxon settlers. The village has had a Romanian majority since 1880 . In the course of the 1989 revolution and the change that followed, almost all of the Transylvanian Saxons left the town for Germany .
