NovAct was a Dutch progressive metal band from Arnhem , which was founded in 2001 under the name Morgana-X and split up in 2007.

history

The band was founded in February 2001 by guitarist Wouter Wamelink under the name Morgana-X and released a first demo in October, followed by the next demo in January 2003. In the same year 2003 the band played at the Headway Festival along with bands like Sun Caged and Pain of Salvation . In 2004 the band changed their name to NovAct. In the same year the band also performed at ProgPower Europe . Her debut album was released on Sensory Records under the name Tales from the Soul in February 2005. As Wouter increasingly lost his hearing, he was replaced in December 2005 by guitarist Roy Segers. In 2005 and 2006 the band performed with After Forever on their tour in the Netherlands and Belgium . In 2007 the band broke up again.

style

The band plays classic Progressive Metal, the music being comparable to that of Vanden Plas and Poverty's No Crime . The singing is particularly varied.
