Mortal Form is a Dutch death and thrash metal band from Arnhem that was founded in 1999.
history
The band was founded in 1999 by guitarists Vincent Wassink and Teun, drummer Bastiaan and bassist and singer Tim. Shortly afterwards, the band went into the studio to record their first demo, X-Plore . During the recording, Tim left the band and was replaced by singer Edme and bassist Tobias Bronsdijk. Singer Edme played the vocal track, so the demo was released that same year. The release was followed by a number of local appearances. In 2000, the band went back to the studio to record the second demo, The End of Times , which was released that year. This was followed by appearances both inside and outside the Netherlands. After completing the demo, the band began work on the debut album Evil Reborn , which was finally recorded in 2002. The album could never be released officially, so only a promo demo appeared, which included three songs. The band continued their live activities. In 2003 singer Edme left the band and was replaced by Rogier. The band then went into the studio to record three songs for a split release that came out that same year. Then Mortal Form appeared as the opening act for various groups until bassist Bronsdijk was replaced by Oscar Thijssen.
In 2008 the band went to the Marmer and Snowstar studios to record their debut album Taste the Blood , which was produced by Nico van Montfoort . The album was released on My Kingdom Music in January 2009 . This was followed by appearances in the Benelux countries and Germany . In 2010 singer Rogier left the band and was replaced by the German Ralf Jansen. The band was working on a new album and recorded the album The Reckoning in December 2011 at Soundlodge Studio with producer Jörg Uken . At the moment the band is looking for a suitable label to release the album.

The band plays a mix of death and thrash metal, with bands like Death , Arch Enemy , Kreator , In Flames and Iron Maiden being mentioned. Occasionally, influences from heavy metal can also be heard.
