Miguel Novillo Astrada

Miguel Novillo Astrada (born February 10, 1974 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine professional polo player with handicap 10 and is one of the best players in the world.

Life

Miguel "Miki" Novillo Astrada forms the La Aguada team with his brothers Eduardo, Javier and Ignacio .

His career as a polo player began when he won the Copa Potrillo in 1987 . Numerous other victories followed in Argentina, including the Copa República . In 1994 he won the youth tournament of the Argentine Open . Since 1998 he has also played successfully in the USA , where he won the Whitney Cup and the US Open .

His greatest sporting success was winning the Triple Corona 2003 (winning the Tortugas Open , Hurlingham Open and Argentine Open in one year). He has played a total of 13 times at the Argentine Open. Most recently, he won the Hurlingham Open in 2008 .

Besides La Aguada, he plays for Crab Orchard , Las Monjitas , La Cañada and other teams. He plays in Argentina, England and the USA. He lives in Pilar , Buenos Aires Province, and is married to Marina Costantini.
