Nowosolna [ nɔvɔ'sɔlna ] (German Neusulzfeld ) is part of the Łódź district of Widzew .

It is located in the east of Łódź in the area of Wzniesienia Łódzkie and has about 2000 inhabitants. The Miazga , which has its sources in the Novosolna area, flows through the settlement .
Nowosolna is the seat of Gmina Nowosolna , which belongs to the Lodz-Ost district. Nowosolna itself does not belong to the Nowosolna municipality.
Nowosolna was founded around 1802 under the name Neu-Sulzfeld as a settlement of German colonists, Protestants , most of whom came from Württemberg .
The village is laid out in the unusual shape of an eight-pointed star. The central point is the place where all streets come together. This intersection is a tourist attraction of the place and is considered unique in urban planning in Poland and Europe.
In 1988 Nowosolna was incorporated into Łódź .
The Autostrada A1 (Poland) with the Brzeziny cross was built east of the Nowosolna market square between 2006 and 2008 .
Attractions
- Wooden church from the 19th century and a bell tower, the church is now exhibited in Skansen for wooden architecture in Łódź.
