Walnut Park
The Walnut Park (also walnut plants ) is a two-hectare park in the center of Munich . The park is a listed building .

The park is located southwest of the Sendlinger Tor . It is delimited from Nussbaum-, Ziemssen-, Lindwurmstraße and Sendlinger-Tor-Platz . At the east end of the park is the St. Matthew Church , at the west end a clinic of the University of Munich Clinic .

The facilities were built at the end of the 19th century according to plans by Friedrich Ludwig Sckell . They are named after the surgeon Johann Nepomuk von Nussbaum .
In the park there is a playground, a memorial for the chief medical officer Ernest von Grossi and a memorial fountain for Friedrich Bezold . The bust Grossis was created by Ludwig Schwanthaler in 1831, it stands on a plinth from 1900. The Friedrich-Bezold-Brunnen was built in 1914 by Karl Hoepf , the bust was created by Georg Mattes .
