Nuraghe Tanca Manna

The Nuraghe Tanca Manna is located on Via Mughina, in a park on a granite outcrop on the southern outskirts of Nuoro in the province of Nuoro in Sardinia . Nuraghi are prehistoric and early historical towers of the Bonnanaro culture (around 1800–1500 BC) and the subsequent nuraghi culture that is inextricably linked with them (around 1600–238 BC).

The Nuraghe Tanca Manna is a tholosnuraghe made of irregular granite blocks . In their corridor there is access to only two steps of the preserved staircase that led to the no longer existing upper floors. The tower, also called "mastio", has a round chamber with two side niches. The Nuraghe Tanca Manna is the oldest in the Nuoro area and was located in an archaeological complex with Domus de Janas and a village with more than 150 huts. In 2005 mainly pottery shards were found.

The nuraghe was scanned by a team led by Maurizio Cattani to create a three-dimensional model with the intention of showing the result to the general public.

A Protonuraghe of the same name is at Tempio Pausania .
