Nursulu Schaimerdenowa

Nursulu Schamalbekqysy Schaimerdenowa ( Cyrillic. Нұрсұлу Жамалбекқызы Шаймерденова, scientific transliteration Nursulw Žamalbekqyzy Šajmerdenova;. * 16th December 1958 in Nowotroizkoje in the region Shymkent in Kazakhstan ) is a Kazakh philologist , university lecturer and member of the Scientific Expert Council of Kazakhstan peoples Assembly and member of the Kazakh society teacher of Russian language and literature . She is also an author of children's books .

life and work

Nursulu Schaimerdenowa was born as the daughter of the former chairman of the Schymkent Executive Committee, Schamalbek Schaimerdenow, and Alipa Tusypbekowna, an elementary school teacher. She grew up in a family of intellectuals engaged in public life.

She attended middle school No. 20, GS Titow and then studied Russian philology at the Kazakh State University SM Kirov (today Kazakh National University Al-Farabi ).

She did her doctorate in 1989 in Moscow at the State Pedagogical Institute (today Moscow State Pedagogical University ) with IG Dobrodomow and SG Kapralowa on glosses in Russian manuscripts. She completed her habilitation in 1998 at the Kazakh National University Al-Farabi ( Almaty ), where she has worked as a lecturer in Russian philology, contrastive, historical-comparative, typological linguistics and sociolinguistics since 1989.

From 2007 to 2013 she headed the “Parassat” research center in Astana, to which she invited the most important linguists of the CIS (including WM Leychik, GE Kreydlin, A. Schaposchnikow, WP Sinyachkin) for lectures and seminars.

She has been a member of the Scientific Expert Council of the Kazakh People's Assembly since 2011, where she is decisively responsible for the development of language policy.

Her academic work areas are Russian studies , historical lexicology and lexicography , linguistic source studies, language theory , contrastive linguistics , sociolinguistics , children's literature and rhetoric .
