The introduction of the first balanced diet in enteral nutrition (Biosorbin MCT) followed in 1974 1980: Foundation of Pfrimmer-Viggo as a manufacturer of parenteral and enteral technology, probes and pumps and introduction of the first liquid, ready-to-use tube nutrition brand Biosorb. 1986: Foundation of the Pfrimmer (etp) nutrition team for homecare care. 1991: Pfrimmer is taken over by the Dutch Nutricia Group (later Numico ) and operates as Pfrimmer Nutricia GmbH & Co. KG from February 14th. 2007: With the takeover by Numico on November 1, 2007, Pfrimmer Nutricia becomes part of Danone's Medical Nutrition division. 2010: Merger of Pfrimmer Nutricia and the SHS Society for Clinical Nutrition mbH to form Nutricia GmbH.

In two of a total of three randomized double-blind studies, the same research group led by Philip Scheltens showed a small significant effect on the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
