Nuvoton Technology Corp. ( Chinese 新 唐 科技 股份有限公司 , Pinyin Xīn táng kējì gǔfèn yǒuxiàn gōngsī ) is a Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer . The company is a spin-off from Winbond and was founded in 2008.

The main product lines are integrated circuits for use in entertainment technology as well as in computers and industrial PCs .
Among other things, Nuvoton offers speech synthesis modules and microcontrollers based on the ARM architecture .
The best known is the ARM Cortex-M microcontroller or ARM Cortex-M0 NuMicro family, which is specially designed for use in industrial and consumer applications where low power consumption is important (e.g. sensor systems).
Keyboard controllers were also produced until 2010. The company also produces energy management systems that are used in various Chinese and Taiwanese electric cars , among other things .
The company has a wafer facility that is capable of producing six-inch wafers.
