Masters at Work is the name of in New York -based House - producer and remixer "Little" Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzales . Their collaboration goes back to a mutual friendship with Todd Terry , who brought the two together. In addition to Masters at Work, Vega and Gonzales have also produced, published or remixed under the names MAW , KenLou , Sole Fusion or Nuyorican Soul .

Masters at Work productions primarily belong to the genres Disco House and Vocal House . For their project Nuyorican Soul , however, many "real" musicians and artists such as B. Vincent Montana Jr. , Roy Ayers , George Benson , Jocelyn Brown , Tito Puente or individual members of the Salsoul Orchestra .

Masters at Work have produced an extensive list of more than 1,000 remixes , which not only includes specialty artists from the house and electro field , but also includes commercially highly successful stars such as Madonna , Donna Summer or Jamiroquai .
