The Nylen Glacier is a narrow glacier in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range, it flows between the Schlatter and Fountain glaciers in a southerly direction into the Pearse Valley .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2004 after the geologist Thomas H. Nylen of Portland State University , who was involved in the study of the mass balance of glacier ice in the Antarctic dry valleys between 1993 and 2003 as part of the United States Antarctic Program .
