Oğuz Yılmaz (comedian)

Oğuz Yılmaz (born April 17, 1991 in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz ) is a German-Turkish author and digital consultant as well as a former comedian and musician . He became known as a member of the comedy group Y-Titty .

life and work

Yılmaz grew up in Freystadt and attended the Hilpoltstein grammar school. In 2009 he joined the comedy trio Y-Titty , with whom he operated the most-subscribed German-language YouTube channel from late 2012 to mid-2014. After Y-Titty broke up in December 2015, Yılmaz announced that it would focus on working behind the camera. Yılmaz has lived in Cologne since 2010 and has been married since 2015.

Activities in the field of social media marketing

Yılmaz appeared and still appears at various events as a moderator, speaker or expert, including at re: publica 2016 on the topic of “New media, old money? Web video goes mainstream ”, the media meeting point Central Germany 2016 and #INREACH 2017.

On May 1, 2016, Yılmaz and his partner Lukas Schneider announced the founding of the social media agency whylder . The agency develops digital communication strategies for companies. In cooperation with the University of Düsseldorf , the agency published the study How does Germany snap ? .

Yılmaz and Daniel Zoll publish the free podcast buzzywords with topics “all about social media and general news from the digital world” at irregular intervals .

He is vice-president of the Academy of the German Web Video Award (WVP) and is committed to the equality of people with disabilities in cooperation with Aktion Mensch .

He also took on the management of the YouTuber mirellativegal .
