KEMBIT-Lions (Limburg Lions) is a handball team in Sittard-Geleen , in the Dutch province of Limburg .
history
The association was created in 2008 through the merger of the associations HV Sittardia from Sittard , V&L from Geleen and HV BFC from Beek . The first team plays in the Eredivisie, the highest Dutch division.
Limburg Lions played in the 2011/12 season in the EHF Cup , in the 2012/13 season in the EHF Challenge Cup and in the seasons 2013/14 and 2014/15 in the EHF European Cup and 2015/16 in the EHF Champions League .
