history
OG was founded on October 31, 2015 by former members of the "(monkey) business team". After renaming to OG, the team won the “ Dota 2 Major Championship ” in Frankfurt in November 2015 and thus won prize money of one million dollars. Despite finishing seventh at the Shanghai Major in March 2016, OG won the Manila Major in June 2016. OG is the first team to win two Valve- sponsored Dota 2 competitions.
In 2016 OG was invited to “ The International 2016” and took part as one of the favorites, but only ended up in the 9 - 12 category out of a total of 16 participating teams. In August 2016, the founding members MoonMeander, Miracle- and Cr1t left the team. They have been replaced by S4, ana and JerAx. Despite the changed team, OG won the "Boston Major" in December 2016 and thus the third "Dota 2 Major Championship" title.
In 2018, OG won the eighth edition of The International in Vancouver. In the final on August 25, 2018, they beat PSG 3-2 . LGD through.
Due to the overall success at The International , the ranks of OG in terms of prize money are N0tail , JerAx and ana, the three most successful e-athletes in history (as of December 2019).
In December 2019, the organization presented its own team in the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive , which includes well-known faces such as Nathan 'NBK-' Schmitt. At cs_summit # 5 in December 2019, the team reached the shared 3rd - 4th place as an entry. At the GG.Bet ICE Challenge 2020 they were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
