Dota Major Championships

The Dota Major Championships is one of the Valve Corporation funded tournament series in the e-sports - discipline Dota 2 . It consists of a major tournament in autumn, winter or spring and the final tournament, The International .

The concept of the tournament series was presented in April 2015 and started in November 2015 with the Frankfurt Major.

Autumn: Frankfurt Major

The first autumn major took place from November 13 to 21, 2015 in the Festhalle in Frankfurt am Main . A total of 3 million US dollars distributed to the participants. The tournament was won by Team OG in the final against Team Secret .
