Evil Geniuses (EC) , also known as Team EG , is an American e-sports - Clan , founded 1999th In 2009 he engaged the former team of compLexity in Counter-Strike and the former MeetYourMakers team around the Dutchman Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen in Warcraft III . Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Evil Geniuses took over the entire team from CLG.EU in January 2013 , which at that time had already played together for over a year and was considered one of the best teams in Europe with its participation in the semi-finals at the Season 2 World Championship and the victory at DreamHack Summer 2012. Since spring 2013 EG was one of eight professional teams in the European League Championship Series (LCS), but could not win any major tournaments and also missed the qualification for the Season 3 World Championship .
In December 2013 it was announced that three of the five members of the team ( Snoopeh , Yellowpete and Krepo ) would compete with two new team members in the North American LCS under the name Evil Geniuses, while the other two players Wickd and Froggen under the EC Subsidiary Alliance a new team was built that continued to play in the European LCS.
The EG League of Legends team had to rename itself as part of the LCS Sale of Sponsorships Rule introduced in 2015 and has been playing under the new name Winterfox since January 2015 .
