history

In 2000, the Dane Mark Peter "Mercy" Fries founded the organization MeetYourMakers, which appeared in public for the first time in 2001. In 2002 the decision was made to turn MeetYourMakers into a professional organization.

In 2006 the organization MeetYourMakers was bought by investors. Together with the former owners, these investors founded Regroup eSports A / S , which was renamed ESNation A / S on July 16, 2008 . At the beginning of August 2006, MYM joined the G7 Teams association .

The Warcraft III division was considered the flagship of MeetYourMakers at the time. He was considered the highest paid Warcraft III player in the world with an estimated $ 500,000 contract. At the beginning of 2008 the Dutchman Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen also switched to MYM.

At the end of 2007, MeetYourMakers signed the reigning World Cyber Games champions from PGS Gaming after several failed attempts to gain a foothold in the Counter-Strike scene . The new team won the Electronic Sports World Cup in 2008 .

At the beginning of 2009, MYM dissolved the teams for Warcraft III and Starcraft.

On August 1, 2009, the Leipzig IT company FIO Systems AG bought MeetYourMakers, and a few weeks later the organization was reopened with new teams in Warcraft III, Counter-Strike and Warcraft III DotA.
