G7 (esports)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The G7 was a merger of several international e-sports - Clans , comparable to the G-14 in football . Its aim was to market and promote esports globally. Among other things, this should be done by improving communication between the clans and the community, as well as improving rules and guidelines. To this end, we worked with some major leagues. The G7 was founded on April 20, 2006. Founding members were 4Kings , fnatic , Made in Brazil , mousesports , Ninjas in Pajamas , SK Gaming and Team 3D .

On August 8, 2006, MeetYourMakers became and on January 19, 2007, wNv Teamwork was accepted into the G7. Since August 2, 2007, the Polish clan PGS Gaming has also been one of the G7 teams. Ninjas in Pajamas was disbanded in late 2007. On February 25, 2008, the two American clans Team 3D and compLexity were excluded from the organization. The reason for the exclusion was the participation in the Championship Gaming Series of both teams, which lost the autonomy and independence of the two clans. On September 6, 2008, the American clan Evil Geniuses was accepted into the G7, but initially in a three-month test phase. A few days later, PGS Gaming and 4Kings were excluded from the association because these clans had no longer actively participated in the end. In February 2009, wNv Teamwork was also excluded, but compLexity rejoined in the same month. The organization has not been active since 2010. The g7teams.com website can no longer be accessed .
