Alternate Attax (proper spelling ALTERNATE aTTaX , formerly Team ALTERNATE ) is a German e-sports - Clan . The clan is the factory team of the computer mail order business Alternate . Alternate was founded in 2003 and has won international awards in various computer games.
history
Alternate was successful in Counter-Strike 1.6 from 2006 to 2009 on an international level . Players like Jan “mooN” Stolle, David “CHEF-KOCH” Nagel or Manuel “approx” Zeitz led the team to podium places at the Electronic Sports World Cup and Intel Extreme Masters . In 2006 Alternate won 50,000 US dollars by winning the World Series of Video Games .
Towards the end of 2007, the clan began building a Warcraft III division. At the beginning of 2008, the alternate player Daniel “XlorD” Spenst secured the championship title in seasons 12, 13 and 14 of the ESL Pro Series . With the appearance of StarCraft II, Spenst switched, the Warcraft III section was closed.
On November 17, 2014, the Counter-Strike: -Global-Offensive -Department moved into the light of the esports scene because of a cheat scandal . The especially in online matches have become conspicuous with an above average high Headshot rate players before Simon "smn" Beck was of the ESEA League for a year because of demonstrable use of prohibited aids disabled . Team Alternate separated from the player on the same day and replaced the rest of the team in December 2014.
On July 1, 2015, Team Alternate announced that they would be separating from their female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team. The reason for the dissolution of the CS: GO team is the intention to concentrate on the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) scene in the future and to employ and promote teams there.
On January 1, 2016, Alternate returned to its roots and renamed itself ALTERNATE aTTaX . At the same time, with the signing of the players from Killerfish eSport, a new team was presented in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive .
On March 20th an Apex Legends team was announced, which will play under the house of ALTERNATE aTTaX.
In December 2019, the team won second place in the German championships in the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive .
Team facility
Alternate Attax has a training building provided by Alternate in Linden . There the clan players can contest clan wars, train and relax: “The LAN house here in Linden [is] a factor in the clan that cannot be balanced with money and no matter how high a motivation. The team feels good and likes to come here to pass the time. […] Actually, it is the key to the success of the past few months because we were able to win all the important games from here. ” The only alternate store in Germany is located in Linden. The clan's trophy cabinet is also located here.
