The fourth edition of the tournament reached a prize pool of over $ 10 million and the fifth edition over $ 17 million. These sums exceed the prize money of all other previous e-sports tournaments many times over. The principle of crowdfunding is also very popular with many other tournament organizers in Dota 2.
