O Lendário Tio Liceu e os Ngola Ritmos is a Portuguese - Angolan documentary about the Angolan musician Carlos Aniceto Vieira Dias , who wrote musical history in Angola under his stage name Tio Liceu (also Liceu Vieira Dias ) and with his band Ngola Ritmos .

The musician, known under his pseudonym Tio Liceu, has been performing in public since the late 1940s and is now considered the forefather of modern popular music in Angola. The documentary was shown at other film festivals in 2009 and 2010, including a. the IndieLisboa , the Lisbon film festival for documentary films.

The film, which was co-produced by the Portuguese public service television ( RTP ), was shown repeatedly in their programs and was released on DVD in 2011 by ZON / Lusomundo.
