Oberbach is a district of the Lower Franconian market Wildflecken in the Bavarian district of Bad Kissingen . The Franconian Marienweg leads through the village .
history
Oberbach emerged from wild, but tolerated by the officials of Bischofsheim settlements, which, according to the first known mention, began in the years 1534/1535. The settlement was legally recognized in 1546.
At first Oberbach belonged to the parish Bischofsheim until it became an independent parish in 1590. In 1764 Oberbach was granted market rights .
The local school was built in 1826 and expanded in 1879. In 1926 Oberbach got a water pipe; Road construction began in 1936.
Due to the establishment of the Wildflecken military training area , the towns of Altglashütten , Reussendorf , Rothenrain and Silberhof , which had previously been oriented towards Oberbach, migrated to Wildflecken, whereby Oberbach lost its importance.
The local elementary school was established in 1961 and 1962, but was dissolved in 1969 when new elementary school associations were established.
On May 1, 1978, Oberbach became part of the Wildflecken market as part of the municipal reform .
