The Oberbiegelhof in Babstadt , a district of Bad Rappenau in the district of Heilbronn ( Baden-Württemberg ), is an estate that was already occupied in the Middle Ages . The current building stock essentially dates from the middle of the 18th century. The courtyard is a protected architectural monument .

location

The Oberbiegelhof is located between Ehrstädt and Babstadt on the K 2143, where it is intersected by the K 2043 Obergimpern-Grombach. The uppermost Grundbach , a left tributary of the Krebsbach , flows past the property .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1330 as "Buchelbach". From 1550 the lords of Helmstatt owned the property. Today's manor building was built in 1753 by Carl Christoph von Helmstatt and his wife Henriette Maria von Geinsberg. The plastered building has five axes and a magnificent portal , which is crowned by a blown gable with the client's alliance coat of arms. The Fruchtscheuer was built in 1735, the Große Scheuer in 1765. The von Helmstatt family sold the estate in 1961.

Todays use

The Oberbiegelhof is now owned by the von Reitzenstein family . There has been a riding facility on the farm since 2004.
