Oberdorf is a district of Söntgerath in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .
location
Oberdorf is the northernmost part of the village and lies on the border with Much in the Bergisches Land . The neighboring town is Much- Kranüchel in the north, and the Mitteldorf district to the south .
history
In 1830 Oberdorf had 60 inhabitants. In 1845 the farm had 63 Catholic residents in 13 houses. In 1888 there were 43 residents in nine houses.
In 1901 the hamlet had 28 inhabitants. Listed are the host and brandy distiller families Johann Balensiefer and the farmers Johann Josef Balensiefer, Peter Knecht, Peter Ley, as well as Johann and Wilhelmhabenbach.
Until 1969 the village belonged to the municipality of Neunkirchen .
