Fruit mill (Saxony)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Obstmühle is a residential area in the district of central Saxony . It is named after a water mill that used to operate there. Along the road, which runs roughly in a west-east direction, it is divided between Sachsendorf (municipality of Erlau ) and Gröbschütz (municipality of Seelitz ), with the residential buildings on Sachsendorfer Flur. The name of the mill can be traced back to a previous owner Opitz.

Obstmühle is located in the valley of the Aubache flowing to the Zwickauer Mulde , into which the Crossen Bach flows east of the residential area , as well as on the district road 8272 from Aitzendorf on the federal road 175 to cities . There are further road connections to Döhlen , Milkau and Theesdorf . There is evidence of a post office for the 1930s .

On the Waldheim – Rochlitz railway line, which was opened in 1893 and closed in 1998 , Obstmühle had a stop that was temporarily equipped with a loading platform as a stop .
