Gerlinde Schnell

Gerlinde Schnell (born July 20, 1942 in Steinbeck , Samland district) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Gerlinde Schnell attended elementary school and vocational school for 8 years and became a specialist salesperson. After attending the teacher training institute, she worked as a lower school teacher. She is a member of the AWO and the Kindertagesstättenverein eV

Gerlinde Schnell is a Protestant, married and the mother of three children.

politics

In November 1989 she joined the SPD and became deputy chairwoman of the working group of social democratic women and on the state executive committee of the SPD. At the same time she was chairman of the citizens' initiative in Glowe . In February 1990 she was elected to the state executive committee of the SPD Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

In the state election in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1990 , she was elected to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania via the SPD state list. In the state parliament she was a member of the petitions committee. In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 1994 , she was re-elected via the SPD state list.

In protest against the formation of the red-red coalition ( Cabinet Ringstorff I ) in 1998, she resigned from the SPD.
