Oded Eran
Oded Eran ( Hebrew עודד ערן; * 1941 ) is a former Israeli diplomat and has been director of the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv since July 2008 .
During his more than 30-year diplomatic career, Eran was Israeli ambassador to Jordan from 1997 to 2000 and Israeli ambassador to the European Union and NATO from 2002 to 2007 .
He was also the representative of the World Jewish Congress in Israel and general secretary of its Israeli branch.
Eran holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the London School of Economics .
