The bug species is found on various islands in the South Pacific. These include Fiji , Kiribati , Wake , the Pitcairn Islands , the Society Islands and the Tuamotu Archipelago .
Way of life

Among the prey include caterpillars such as Helicoverpa armigera ( Helicoverpa armigera ), budworm , Loxostege affinitalis , Selidosema suavis , Anomis planalis , Earias huegeli , Phalaenoides glycine , Papilio anactus , Levuana iridescens and the small cabbage white butterfly ( Pieris rapae ). The bugs also prey on leaf beetles and their larvae. The beetle species affected include Chrysolina gemellata , Chrysolina hyperici , Chrysolina quadrigemina , Paropsis charybdis and Poneridia semipullata .
