The von Oechlitz , Ochlitz, Öchlitz were an old knightly Thuringian - Saxon noble family with the same ancestral seat Oechlitz in the rule Querfurt .

history

First mentioned in a document with Theodericus de Ochylicz in 1291. Subsequently mentioned 1315-1319 Heinrich von Ochlitz, 1321 Hermann von Ochlitz, 1367 a Thime von Ochlitz zu Koten, 1467 Hans von Ochlitz and 1493 Peter von Oechlitz auf Bündorf in the Merseburg Abbey. Around 1571, Nicolaus von Ochlitz was the last of his tribe to die, leaving behind children. In the 14th century they were servants of the nobles of Querfurt and held feudal fiefs from Querfurt Castle . Later also wealthy in Anhalt and Gehrendorf, Eichstedt, Freckleben and Grobitz / Gröbitz / Krobitz.
