Dudgeon is an offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom in the North Sea that has been in operation since October 2017 . Dudgeon is located 32 kilometers off the coast of the town of Cromer in North Norfolk, covering an area of approximately 55 square kilometers and water depths of 12 to 24 meters. Its annual standard work capacity should be sufficient to supply more than 410,000 households with electrical energy.
History and construction
The investment decision on the estimated construction costs of 1.5 billion pounds was made in 2014.
The last foundations were installed in August 2016. These are monopiles from Sif Group NV At the beginning of January 2017, the first wind turbine was installed. On February 7, 2017, the first electricity was fed into the UK National Grid . The last turbine was installed in September 2017. The wind farm has been fully operational since October 2017.

The wind farm is operated by Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited . This is a joint venture between Statoil (35% stake), Masdar (35%) and a Chinese consortium (30%). Statoil is the operator of the wind farm. The Chinese consortium, led by China Resources Company , acquired the project shares from Statkraft in December 2017 for £ 555 million.

67 Siemens SWT-6.0-154 wind turbines are used , which are installed on monopile foundations. With a rotor diameter of 154 meters, these systems have a nominal output of 6.0 MW each. The nominal output of the wind farm will thus total 402 MW.
