Ogres Servisa Centrs is a Latvian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Ogre in 1983 . In 2003, the production of automobiles began under the direction of Andris Dambis. The brand name is Oscar ( own spelling OSCar ).

vehicles

The company manufactures vehicles for rallies . The first, introduced in 2003 model Oscar had a eight-cylinder engine with 3982 cc displacement and 236 hp . The top speed was given as 170 km / h. In 2005 the Oscar had an eight-cylinder engine from Chevrolet with a displacement of 5665 cm³ and 310 hp. This made 180 km / h possible. The Oscar 03 presented in 2006 had an identical motor. All vehicles have a wheelbase of 290 cm.

Deployments in the Dakar Rally

The vehicles are used successfully in the Dakar Rally . In 2004 the Rally Raid Riga team took part with three Oscar vehicles: Andris Lukstins with co-driver Ivars Krauklis, Andris Lambis with co-driver Ainars Princis and Janis Azis with co-driver Valdis Purvinskis. In 2005 the same team took part again with three vehicles: Janis Azis with co-driver Ainars Princis, Maris Saukans with co-driver Didzis Zarins and Igor Skoks with co-driver Agris Pikis. In 2006 at least Maris Saukans and Andris Dambis drove with the starting number 420. In 2012, Maris Saukans and Andris Dambis took part for the first time with an electric car with a range extender and achieved 77th place.
